Cllr John Wray: Brereton Rural Ward (Congleton)
Brereton Rural is a single-member ward.
John has lived in the Cheshire area for 45 years and in Smallwood for 35 years. He is married with two grown-up children, both educated at local schools.
John was previously a quality assurance manager of an international company manufacturing scientific and medical equipment (renal dialysis machines to hydrogen generators).
He has served as a governor for the Cheshire & Wirral Mental Health Trust, and was also chair of a local charity for the disabled.
John has campaigned successfully for speed reduction on the A50 in Smallwood and A54 through Somerford which was a lengthy process. There is still more to do to improve road safety!
