CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER OPENS THE 7TH C&W CONFERENCE!
There was a record attendance at the opening Reception and Dinner for the 7th Cheshire & Wirral Area Conference in Chester this evening.
The reception was hosted by Jacqueline Foster MEP, Grace was offered by Sajjad Karim MEP and the Loyal Toast presented by Sean Houlston (C&N YCs and Candidate for Leighton Ward).
The Guest Speaker was the Rt Hon. Philip Hammond MP - Chancellor of the Exchequer - who spoke eloquently about the importance of recent Brexit debates in The House and offered a fresh perspective on how Britain, already a leader in implementing technologies such as artificial intelligence, must maximise this advantage in preparing a future political and economic environment fit for future generations.
Cheshire East Constituencies and Associations were well represented including David Rutley MP (Macclesfield), Dr Kieran Mullan (PPC Crewe & Nantwich) and Cheshire East Councillors. In summary, the evening was a valuable opportunity for networking and preparing for future elections at all levels!
