NATIONAL CITIZENSHIP SERVICE comes to Crewe.
I met a fantastic group of young people today who are participating in the National Citizenship Project and were on day 1 of their community action work. They were clearing the open space outside Jubilee House in Crewe and whilst they had lunch, they kindly explained what the project is all about. They’ve been away on an outdoor venture, are now completing two weeks of community based social action before undertaking fundraising activities for a local charity of their choice. They didn’t know eachother before joining the NCS but shared work helps nurture friendships and self-confidence (and Pizza always helps!!)
