Defibrillator donation from Cheshire Fire & Rescue
Councillors Margaret Simon & Jacquie Weatherill are both members of Cheshire Fire & Rescue Authority, and were very pleased that Wistaston Sports & Leisure Association was chosen to receive one of several Defibrillators that Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service had made available for donation to communities across Cheshire East.
“Wistaston Sports & Leisure Association is delighted to have received a donation of a Defibrillator from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service”. After learning how it is used, the Defibrillator was handed to WSLA Committee Members by Nantwich Firefighter, Ashley Brown. It is planned to install it in a specially designed cabinet which will be clearly signposted and located on an outside wall of the Brittles pavilion building. The sports ground and pavilion are used by many clubs, associations and residents throughout each week, having a Defibrillator on the premises will be reassuring as, if it is needed in an emergency, it could help to save someone’s life.”
