‘Spooktacular’ Launch of latest Connected Communities Centre!
It was a real joy to celebrate Ruby's Fund in Congleton becoming the latest Cheshire East Connected Communities Centre offering fantastic facilities for the whole community and especially for children and families. It was a pleasure to meet the wonderful Alison and her beautiful daughter Ruby who was wearing the most amazing unicorn socks! Thanks again to all the local services who supported the event, Healthwatch Cheshire East, PCSO Jess of Congleton Police, New Leaf, Congleton Town Council and many more.
The event was attended by CE Council Leader Cllr Rachel Bailey, Cllr Janet Clowes and special thanks to Cllr Liz Wardlaw for doing the official speech honours and to Cllr Paul Bates who spoke as a director of the Ruby's Fund charity (and who also got into the Halloween theme by wearing a scary orange wig!). The Mayor of Congleton, Suzie Akers Smith was in attendance offering her support as Ruby's Fund is one of the Mayor's official charities.
