The Nantwich Show - success in the sun!
The sun shone brightly on the Nantwich Show yesterday at Dorfold Hall. Tickets sold like hot cakes and the show was full of Rural and agricultural business folk, local families and visitors from very much further afield enjoying a fabulous opportunity to see all that the rural community has to offer in South Cheshire.
The International Cheese Show is the largest of its kind in the world and attracted cheese producers from across the globe. Congratulations to Belton Cheese (Shropshire) for winning the supreme championship cup!
Cllrs Smetham (Mayor Cheshire East) and Marren (Mayor Nantwich Town Council) were present and Cllr Clowes presented the award for best farmhouse cheese - to Belton Cheese! Local producers also did well with Heler’s Cheese (Hatherton) winning two prestigious awards.
