Last Wednesday saw the launch of the CARER’S HUB for Cheshire East in Congleton.
The Hub has been commissioned by CEC and the NHS and is being delivered by N-Compass North West in Partnership with Child Action North West, the Alzheimer’s Association and other local organisations. This will ensure that adult and young carers can receive information and support that meets their individual needs. The contract was in part designed by Carers themselves and they will be involved in the on-going appraisal of the service.
The Hub has been preparing for full operation for nearly two months prior to the launch and already a further 350 adult carers, previously unknown to services have come forward for support and 18 new carers have been identified.
