Poynton Civic Hall hosts successful Health & Well-being Fair for Older People
Poynton Town Council once again, working in partnership with Cheshire East Council and Patient Participation Groups organised this well-attended event which also coincided with the first flu jab clinic of the 2018 winter season.
A variety of groups and organisations who support older people in our community attended and the whole event provided a great opportunity for local residents to have a chat or get information from organisations such as Age UK Cheshire East, British Red Cross and Cheshire East’s recently commissioned Carers Hub for carers of all ages, as well as getting advice on preparing well for winter! The event was free and Local MP David Rutley and Ward Councillor Michael Beanland popped in to lend support and see the wider work of the Poynton Civic hall which is one of Cheshire East’s connected Communities Centres.
