The Tatton Conservative Team have been working hard to ensure that those who can, help those who can’t! Association members and Councillors have been busy supporting residents all over the Constituency during these difficult times.
Campaign Manager Joely Garland has joined the fantastic team at “We Are Knutsford” together with Knutsford Councillors, Elizabeth Beswick, Stewart Gardiner and Tony Dean who have been busy supporting those in need- delivering shopping, collecting prescriptions and holding telephone surgeries to answer resident concerns.
In Wilmslow, Cllr Hannan Sarwar has been working both with the Wilmslow Health Centre and two local pharmacies, to ensure that social distancing is observed when prescriptions are being collected and working with the delivery service getting essential medical supplies to the most vulnerable members of society.
Hannan has also supported Wilmslow Health Centre in creating a drive-thru “Hot-Hub” facility. This facility follows the strict advice of Public Health England and NHS 111 to support and threat any patients displaying Covid-19 symptoms who are not sick enough to be admitted to hospital.
Fellow Wilmslow Town Councillor, Cllr Julie Dawn Potts has engaged a wonderful caring team of over 25 main volunteers who support over 40 roads around this area and have distributed “Love The Lane” leaflets to over 3,500 residents’ homes. The leaflets offer support to residents which includes weekly grocery shopping or regular phone calls.
Over in Mobberley, Councillor Charlotte Leach has been supporting the joint work of Mobberley Parish Council, Mobberley Neighbourhood Watch, The Mobberley Trust, both local churches and many local volunteers in the community to help all those affected by the coronavirus.
Likewise High Legh Councillor, Kate Parkinson has visited local shops and pharmacies collecting essential supplies on behalf of her vulnerable residents in social isolation.
Alongside our Councillors, party members have also offered their support.
Members operate regular telephone sessions to call vulnerable Tatton residents offering a friendly chat to find out if they need anything - whether that be a weekly shop or simply someone to talk to. All of the team at Tatton encourage any residents with concerns about themselves or that of a neighbour to get in touch.
