One Connected Community across Three Venues!
On Saturday, Cllr Janet Clowes together with local Ward Councillors Les Gilbert and Andrew Kolker, attended the official opening of the Dane Valley Connected Communities Centres In Holmes Chapel and Goostrey.
This arrangement is a little different from our more urban centres in that they decided to work together as a single ‘connected community’ but across three venues - each of which has particular benefits that (as a result of their improved ‘working together’ and communications) means that residents can get triple the opportunities and the benefits! The three venues are the Holmes Chapel Library, the Holmes Chapel Community Centre and Goostrey Village Hall.
The Opening saw demonstrations of preparing ‘healthy eating’ options from ‘One You’ partners, representatives from the Dane Valley Partnership, Public Health, and of course the Library services. Staff also provided welcome hot drinks and home baked cakes1
