“Cheshire East Reflects” Family Concert at Tatton Park
Cheshire East residents and visitors attended A Soldier’s Story: Tatton Park Remembers & Cheshire East Reflects’ family concert on Sunday. The event went ahead despite the rain, and it was great to see so many families taking part in the activities and watching performances from Staffordshire Military Wives’ Choir, Cheshire’s own Foden’s Band and Sacred Sounds. Each element helped tell the story of British India’s involvement in the First World War.
There were also readings and introductions from Archdeacon of Macclesfield Ian Bishop, mayor of Cheshire East Councillor Lesley Smetham, Cheshire East Council leader Rachel Bailey and the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs.
Planning is well underway for the final two Cheshire East Reflects commemorative events, which will take place in November:
